EdgeTX is an open-source collective that develops advanced firmware and companion software for modern radio-control transmitters, turning hobby-grade handsets into highly customizable command centers for drones, planes, helicopters, boats and surface vehicles. Built on the bones of the erstwhile OpenTX project, EdgeTX delivers a continually refreshed codebase that supports color and monochrome displays, multi-protocol modules, CRSF, ELRS, Ghost and legacy PPM streams, while adding responsive touch-friendly widgets, model wizards, multi-language audio, haptic feedback, Lua scripting and over-the-air updates. EdgeTX Companion, the Windows configuration utility, allows pilots to build aircraft profiles, set up mixes, curves, logical switches and telemetry screens on the desktop, then flash the firmware or transfer models to the handset via USB or SD card. Companion also backs up entire radio settings, converts legacy OpenTX files and downloads the latest voice packs, themes and sound packs automatically.
